There may be many reasons why do not wish to hire an attorney:
- You can’t afford to hire one,
- You don’t think it is that hard,
- You think the courts will help you,
- You think you and your spouse have an agreement,
- You hate attorneys,
- Just because.
If you answered # 2, 3, 5 or 6, you could be right or you might be making one of the biggest mistakes of your life.
If you answer is 1 or 2, maybe you need some help to the extent that you can afford. Reviewing your situation with an attorney may save you a lot of time for a smaller cost. Services are available without a retainer on a “pay-as-you go” system to discuss your questions or materials so you can be more effective. Just learning about the court process and what terms mean will be a good investment. The decision is yours and I respect the person who does not want to go in to debt because of divorce. I can assist with a consultation to give you explanation and direction but not represent you in any court action.
